About the Role: Whatfix is developing bots/assistants that understand user instructions in natural language – like "Apply for casual leave from August 20 to August 25, 2023" – and execute the task on any application on the web. We're seeking skilled AI/ML Engineers experienced with UIs and AI/ML. Key Responsibilities: - Develop state-of-the-art deep learning models and advanced computer vision to build an understanding of software applications and to act as an agent. - Research and implement ML and deep learning algorithms for production. - Build necessary infrastructure for AI/ML systems such as model inference, automated (re-)training, monitoring, and explainability, etc. - Participate in Code Review and process improvement. - Stay updated on the latest AI research and experiment with code. - Help AI product managers and business stakeholders understand the potential and limitations of AI for your products. - Conduct necessary ML tests and benchmarks for model validation. - Fine-tune, retrain, and scale existing model deployments. - Clearly articulate complex problems and propose viable architectural and design solutions. - Implement complex model training and neural network-powered software applications for integration into the Whatfix SaaS platform. - Design and develop highly robust, scalable, fault-tolerant systems for one of the world's fastest-growing startups. - Envision project goals, product architectural solutions, and focus on details for successful implementations. - Occasionally participate in customer demonstrations and provide necessary inputs. - Conduct research to provide technical solutions for real-world challenges at scale in various scenarios. Our ideal AI/ML Engineer: - Experience and strong analytical background, preferably with a degree in computer science, engineering, machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, algorithms, statistics, or similar field. - Direct work experience and proficiency in some of these technologies and frameworks: - Solid experience in building systems with vision processing, deep neural networks, and reinforcement learning. - Understanding of working with knowledge graphs for AI projects. - Strong grasp of machine learning concepts and statistics. - Deep understanding of CNN algorithm family such as R-CNN, Fast R-CNN, Faster R-CNN, YOLO, etc. - Hands-on programming skills in Python. - Proficiency in using deep learning libraries like PyTorch, Fastai, TensorFlow, OpenCV, etc. - Proficiency in implementing algorithms and using advanced data structures to solve computing problems. A solid foundation in computer science principles is preferred. - Experience in deploying at least two DL-based solutions to production. - Excellent communication and technical skills. - A can-do attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to turn challenges into opportunities. - Ability to collaborate effectively in a highly technical, fast-paced environment. - Ability to solve complex challenges/problems and rapidly deliver innovative solutions. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science. Nice-to-haves: - Hands-on experience with front-end technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript. - Published DL-based research work in top-tier conferences. - Experience with transformer/vision transformer-based models. - Understanding of distributed computing using Spark.
