Job Description

As a Senior Engineering Program Manager specializing in Data Quality for AIML training, you will play a critical role in orchestrating initiatives to uphold the highest level of data quality. You will collaborate closely with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers to develop, implement, and sustain tools and processes that evaluate and enhance our data quality standards. Your invaluable insights and strategic approaches will directly influence the accuracy and reliability of our AIML models.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of tools and processes to assess the quality of data for AIML model training.
• Build metrics and KPIs to evaluate data accuracy, consistency, and relevance.
• Work with Engineering teams to develop automated logic checks for identifying data inconsistencies and issues.
• Integrate quality processes into existing data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to scrutinize annotation data and develop continuous data quality improvement strategies.
• Provide feedback and ensure alignment of data quality with annotation guidelines.
• Engage with Machine Learning Engineers to understand how data quality impacts AIML model performance.
• Recommend adjustments to data collection, preprocessing, and utilization based on performance analysis.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data quality management.
• Recommend and implement industry best practices for quality processes, tools, and methodologies.

This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Training, and Production Operations teams to deliver world-class solutions. Effective management and leadership skills, combined with maintaining Apple’s culture and standards, are critical. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data quality management.
• Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies and machine learning principles, especially in NLP and LLMs.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strategic thinking about business, product, and technical challenges.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages commonly used in data analysis (e.g., Python, R).

Compensation & Benefits

At Apple, the base pay is a key component of our total compensation package, which offers opportunities for growth and development within your role. The base pay range for this position is between $233,600 and $381,200, dependent on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
