We founded Marshmallow after discovering the unfair insurance pricing system for those moving to the UK. The insurance industry hasn't considered this large group of consumers, resulting in ill-suited pricing strategies.
We saw a chance to operate differently and established a mission to support those who defy traditional norms. Thus far, we've helped hundreds of thousands secure fair car insurance deals. Leveraging technology, we cater to demographic groups neglected by financial service companies, providing solutions to significant issues for those who need them.
We understand that millions of customers are underserved and encounter unique problems many businesses don't consider. We believe in shaping our future around these individuals by understanding their experiences and catering to their needs. Our profitability this year is a testament to the demand for our services, and this is just the beginning.
We take great pride in our work culture. Promoting progress daily, we believe that significant milestones are achievable by undertaking numerous smaller steps. We foster an environment of collaboration, where idea-sharing, experience, and knowledge exchange are encouraged. We accept and capitalize on failures, always promoting creativity, experimentation, and risk-taking. We empower our team members to take work ownership and challenge established processes.
Clear direction supports autonomy and ownership. We collaborate for comprehensive planning twice a year, ensuring all objectives and goals flow from the top down. To maintain alignment across different functions, we organize work into four tribes: Acquisition, Retention, Claims and Pricing, and Underwriting & Fraud. Each tribe comprises several cross-functional teams working towards a common goal.
As we excitedly anticipate the challenges that lie ahead, we need more hands on deck! If Marshmallow's work culture resonates with you, check out our or to discover more.
We strive to empower everyone in Marshmallow using data. We collaborate with all teams, championing a data-driven culture, breaching data siloes, and advocating tools promoting self-service.
