Job responsibilities include: - Collaborating with Pharmacy business, tech, and data science leadership to create and maintain a world-class data infrastructure that caters to Amazon Pharmacy's growth and mission to be the world's premier pharmacy. - Architecting robust and flexible data solutions for real-time and batch processing. - Creating self-service business intelligence infrastructure for Amazon Pharmacy analytics users. - Collaborating with SDEs/other data engineers to design and construct data solutions that are stable and efficient. - Actively engaging in the code review process, design discussions, team planning, ticket assessment, and metric analyses to help your team evolve. About the team: We accelerate business insights and data-driven innovation by providing reliable, intuitive, timely and cost-effective analytics and data engineering solutions. We have four primary objectives: 1. Provide data warehousing solutions for undifferentiated heavy lifting required for Amazon Pharmacy teams to manage data. 2. Utilize our position as a key data provider to identify and exploit opportunities for privacy, security enhancements, cost reduction, and greater organizational efficiency. 3. Constantly anticipate and identify common patterns in analytics and clear a path for Amazon Pharmacy teams to quickly and easily solve business objectives and derive insights from data, using native AWS solutions whenever possible. 4. Leverage our critical role within the Pharmacy Operations analytics team to highlight key performance indicators for product and process improvements across various pharmacy departments. We are open to hiring candidates based in: Seattle, WA, USA Basic qualifications: - 3 or more years of experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools. - Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. - Experienced in writing complex SQL queries. - Proficient in SQL for data extraction from a database or data warehouse and scripting (Python) for data processing in modelling. - Able to effectively communicate complex ideas both in writing and verbally. Preferred qualifications: - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift. - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets. - Ability to manage a substantial and varied operational workload while managing stakeholder expectations. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay varies based on market location and may fluctuate depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
