About the Job

The CXBT team is focused on understanding and improving customer needs and perceptions. We are looking for a skilled BIE Manager to analyze and deliver insights that help us serve our customers better. In this role, you will innovate and develop new methodologies to generate actionable insights and make recommendations that have a direct impact on our current and future customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of BIEs collaborating with diverse partner and business stakeholder teams.
  • Identify new data sources and create methodologies to drive enhanced customer experiences.
  • Simplify, automate, and standardize processes to improve efficiency and customer impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Execute core BIE responsibilities, such as:
    • Implementing data signals like customer loyalty and satisfaction.
    • Designing quantitative methods to measure customer experience accurately.
    • Collecting data on customer perceptions and experiences.
    • Applying analytics to generate data insights and quantify customer impacts.

About the Team

The CXBT organization is comprised of diverse functions dedicated to deeply understanding and improving customer experience globally. Our team develops products, services, and ideas, leveraging data to influence Amazon’s wide range of offerings. This role is part of our centralized economics, analytics, and measurement science team that drives customer experience enhancements through scientific modeling and quantitative data analytics.

Location

This position is available in Arlington, VA, New York, NY, or Seattle, WA.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience.
  • 5+ years of managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management.
  • Experience with SQL and ETL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and Quicksight.
  • Proficiency with statistical and machine learning software such as R, Python, Weka, SAS, or Matlab.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a large data warehousing environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools and environments.
  • 3+ years of quantitative and qualitative data science/business intelligence experience with significant business impact.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,100/year to $223,100/year, depending on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional forms of compensation, including equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits, may be offered as part of a total compensation package.
