Amazon Fresh Grocery is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) with a passion for data, analytics, science, and automation. Our team seeks to invent and simplify solutions that enhance decision-making speed and quality through business process automation, business analysis, and reporting. In this role, you will have the chance to participate in projects from various domains, such as pricing, selections, defects, and fulfillment tools analytics.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a BIE in our team, you will address challenging and thrilling problems, including:
- Leveraging your deep analytic and business intelligence skills to extract significant insights from large and complicated data sets.
- Engaging business stakeholders in constructive dialogues to transform business problems into logical problems that can be resolved using data, statistics, or scripting.
- Designing, developing, and implementing scalable, automated infrastructure for data extraction, processing, computation, and delivery.
- Collaborating closely with data engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to deliver features to our customers.
- Learning new technologies and techniques to meaningfully support product and process innovation.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- Experience in data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools like Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, and statistical methods like t-test, Chi-squared.
- Experience with a scripting language like Python, Java, or R.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Advanced technical degree.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
- Experience with statistical analysis, correlation analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographical markets. The base salary for this position starts from $65,800/year in our lowest geographical market to $165,600/year in our highest geographical market. Pay is determined by several factors including market location and may vary according to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
