Role Overview
As a Clinical Data Science Lead (CDSL), you will be the primary contact for clinical data science data review activities, ensuring the delivery of data fit for analysis. You will:
- Lead and oversee the timeliness of clinical data science activities through the lifecycle of studies.
- Work independently and collaborate with other project leads to negotiate timelines and key deliverables with clients and external stakeholders.
- Participate in Sponsor and third-party audits.
- Forecast budget, hours, and resourcing for clinical data review activities.
- Perform analytic reviews that focus on errors impacting subject safety or final analysis interpretation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global groups.
- Provide input into clinical system development and clinical risk management activities.
- Develop planning documents related to data review, analytics, and deliverables.
- Inform functional management and project management about issues affecting project scope, budget, and target dates, escalating potential problems effectively and promptly.
- Use existing procedures to analyze information and make judgment calls for problem solving.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of clinical data management experience in a clinical research organization or pharmaceutical company.
- 2+ years of experience working in a clinical research organization (CRO).
- Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in at least one Clinical Data Management system (e.g., Medidata Rave, Inform, Oracle Clinical, Veeva).
- Excellent communication skills and timeline management experience.
- Data Analytic and Data Validation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
- Fluency in English and the host country language is required.
