Are you passionate about working with consumer research and data? Mintel, the world's leading market intelligence agency, is on the hunt for a highly organized consumer researcher to be part of its Consumer Research and Data Analytics team.

Located in Bangkok, this role will assist our syndicated consumer research projects in Thailand and will collaborate with the reporting team to propose top-notch quantitative consumer analysis. This role will manage daily research projects from questionnaire formulation through fieldwork and data analysis, and support the South APAC region in delivering a high level of quantitative consumer research.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Designing consumer surveys: Collaborate with the internal reporting team to tailor online quantitative questionnaires in English that fulfill research objectives and analysis requirements.
  • Research project management: Coordinate with external providers and internal resources to independently manage research projects ensuring all research conducted stays within budget and meets deadlines. This includes checking outputs and handling inquiries.
  • Analyzing data: Utilize a broad range of data analysis tools like SPSS, R among others to catalogue and analyze quantitative consumer research data efficiently. This includes conducting advanced statistical analyses such as correspondence analysis, CHAID (decision tree analysis), cluster analysis (segmentation) and forecasting.
  • Training & development: Help conduct consumer research training with internal report teams (including questionnaire design, data analysis, and using internal reporting tools) and serve as a consultant within the organization by providing expertise in internal tools, data analysis, and interpreting statistical analysis.
  • Maintaining internal databases: Accumulate market data through desk research and manage internal database of macro-economic environment.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • 2+ years of working experience in a client-facing environment within a consumer research agency
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree with a minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant subject
  • Mandatory experience managing consumer research projects in Thailand
  • Proficient knowledge in designing and analyzing quantitative research (both online and offline) from questionnaire design to data output
  • Demonstrable experience with data analysis in R or SPSS (or similar statistical software) in a business environment
  • Highly organized with experience in managing several research projects to meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and interpretative skills with the capacity to communicate data, statistics and other research-related concepts to non-researchers
  • Experience in searching or using secondary data, such as industry or governmental data
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on ensuring data quality
  • A team player willing to assist others both within and outside the team
  • A high level of numeracy
