ABOUT THE ROLE The Enterprise Data Analytics team at Peloton is actively seeking a motivated and strategically inclined Data Analyst to be part of our expanding team. This individual will aid in integral projects that enhance understanding of key enterprise metrics and spur action based on resulting insights. They will work closely with teams across the company to comprehend their issues and create datasets that provide actionable insights in a scalable and sustainable manner. They will decipher findings and the resulting implications to stakeholders from various functions. YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON - Define significant metrics and dimensions considering multi-functional teams' use cases - Establish key performance indicators throughout the company - Design logical data views that make datasets easily accessible and intuitive to an extensive group of data users - Collaborate with data engineers to design and create foundational datasets - Identify and investigate emerging trends and anomalies in key performance indicators - Balance requests and pivotal initiatives to prioritize work based on business impact - Clearly communicate and articulate findings to partners across functional groups to influence actions and decisions that further the team's strategic goals YOU BRING TO PELOTON - 4+ years of pertinent business intelligence or analytics development experience - Ability to navigate large datasets - Proficiency in finding data trends, explaining the significance, and translating insights into strategic, tangible recommendations - Anticipate follow-up queries and incorporate them into the analysis to resolve the central issue, not solely the direct question - An adaptable and open attitude, being a strong team player who is willing to take on extra responsibilities as necessary - Capable of communicating quantitative insights to non-technical stakeholders in understandable terms - Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment where priorities frequently shift BONUS - Experience in developing dashboards and self-service capabilities for stakeholders through reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) - Understanding of SQL, columnar databases, and distributed file systems - Ability to optimize queries and pipelines for efficient performance - Experience in applying statistical techniques to understand and quantify relationships between metrics, and distinguish between correlation and causation - Firm understanding of python, specifically libraries and packages focused on data processing and analysis The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will vary based on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and potential change in job location.
