Impact in This Role

As part of the Data Engineering & Analytics team, you will create reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights from our data warehouse. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging various Business Intelligence (BI) technologies. As a Data Analyst, you will support stakeholders in understanding our data warehouse and reporting environment, acting as a bridge between business and technology to solve business problems.

Your responsibilities include collecting requirements, ensuring data consistency, and translating functional needs into technical specifications for data reports. You must also ensure data reports comply with enterprise standards. This hands-on role involves collaborating with peers to build dashboards and reports, answering business questions, and providing key management reports. Partnering with the Data Analytics Manager, you will support and scale our analytics efforts, using SQL to pull datasets and visualize complex data effectively. You will also mentor peers and promote best practices to maintain the hygiene of Fictiv’s reporting environments and empower users to be self-sufficient.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the business requirement gathering, planning, and delivery of multiple operational projects.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert on all data models, reports, dashboards, and reporting techniques.
  • Create reports and dashboards from the data warehouse that deliver value to stakeholders while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Partner with GMs and manufacturing leads to support global manufacturing planning and execution.
  • Standardize and implement reporting best practices with the Analytics Team.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to help teams understand and utilize data technologies.
  • Assist Product Managers in ensuring data model additions are included in development plans and updated in reports.
  • Influence engineering and business strategy and establish practices to address customer needs efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to handle production database changes.
  • Provide design guidance, best practices, mentoring, and training to produce a reliable data warehouse.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Write documentation for stakeholders on any reports or dashboards created.
  • Work effectively with remote teams and people with strong opinions.

Desired Traits

  • B.S. in Data Science, Data Analysis, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst generating enterprise reports using Tableau.
  • 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, sourcing, logistics, or similar fields is a bonus.
  • Experience with Snowflake is a bonus.
  • 1+ years of experience as a data scientist in areas like machine learning or regression is a bonus.
  • Proven experience with complex datasets and writing SQL queries.
  • Working knowledge of BI concepts, such as regressions and operational metrics.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and creating business cases.
  • Experience conducting live training sessions for stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems like Odoo, Shipping Carrier, or TMS.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional-level English speaking and writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills and effective interaction with co-workers.
