Data Analyst

RSM is seeking a Data Analyst for our National Finance and Operations team. The Data Analyst is tasked with data development, automation, and compilation. This role involves preparing reports through Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Power BI using data gathered from various internal systems. Key Duties: Analytical responsibilities may include but are not limited to: developing data and storage requirements, reporting and analytics, and establishing data standards and metadata. Developing, analyzing, and evaluating data to create and sustain business intelligence frameworks. Integrating and mining large datasets, connecting data from different sources to uncover crucial insights and practical data solutions. Maintaining/updating/creating technical specifications (such as data mapping, data flows, and dashboard content). Developing real-time reporting for analyzing KPIs. Designing and creating analysis and reports that include summaries, graphs, diagrams, and other visual representations in BI or Excel. Developing and maintaining forecasting databases/tools and offering analysis to management on results. Identifying and setting up new procedures for enhancement and opportunities. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Accounting or Finance major preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team. Effective organizational and time management skills. Solid understanding of developing data requirements. Knowledgeable in Excel, Power BI, SQL, and basic concepts of database structures and data querying. Advanced Microsoft Office skills with exposure to Visual Basic. Previous SQL experience preferred. Previous Business Intelligence (BI) tool experience preferred. Previous experience with data analysis and predicting future trends preferred. Prepare and review monthly work papers; perform account reconciliation, investigate general ledger balance discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing process. Preferred Skills: Accounting degree. Compensation Range: $61,200 - $109,900.
