Role: Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at OnTheMarket, you will analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights, driving business decisions and strategies within the real estate industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from various sources ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Clean and preprocess data to remove duplicates, handle missing values, and standardize formats.
• Utilize statistical methods, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to uncover trends and insights.
• Create engaging dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Apply statistical techniques for hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and predictive modeling.
• Develop and maintain predictive models for business forecasting and analytical tasks.
• Interpret data trends and provide actionable insights for business improvements and strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data analysis with business objectives.
• Conduct data quality checks and validate data accuracy throughout its lifecycle.
• Implement data governance practices and resolve data quality issues with data engineers or IT teams.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested and generate regular and ad-hoc reports for monitoring business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees (Master’s, PhD) are a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative methods, and data modeling techniques.
• Experience with data analysis tools and languages like SQL, Python, and Excel.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with functional programming (Clojure) is a plus.
• Experience with Google Analytics and creating custom reports.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, data structures, and SQL queries.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Redshift, PostgreSQL) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is advantageous.
• Ability to understand business processes, industry trends, and KPIs.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
• Attention to detail in data analysis ensures accuracy and maintains data quality standards.
• Collaborative mindset to work effectively in cross-functional teams and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
