About the Role:

You will join us as a Data Analytics Engineer, working hand-in-hand with our team and various service consumers throughout Swiss Re. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and developing reliable operational reporting solutions in collaboration with developers, product/application owners, and operation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance system security, ensure data integrity, and maintain high platform availability.
  • Stay current with emerging technology trends and evaluate promising new solutions that fulfill organizational needs.
  • Create comprehensive technical support documentation and offer direct troubleshooting and consulting services to our customers.

About the Team:

Our Logging & Monitoring squad drives innovation in logging, monitoring, and event management platforms. These systems are essential for collecting data on application behavior, minimizing service disruptions, and offering advanced reporting functionalities. Our goal is to empower stakeholders to manage risks efficiently, understand their service level agreements (SLAs) clearly, resolve issues swiftly, and stay ahead of long-term trends.

About You:

Are you enthusiastic about advancing AIOps within a major organization? We are looking for a candidate passionate about data engineering, with profound expertise in Python and a strong background in distributed computing frameworks.

  • Proven experience in software development, continuous integration/deployment, and system engineering within large-scale, distributed cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of system design, data structures, cloud storage, and infrastructure systems.
  • Solid grasp of data modeling and data architecture concepts.
  • Experience with Python, Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
  • A keen interest in imparting knowledge, either through interactive sessions or documentation.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills being advantageous.

You thrive in a team-oriented environment but are also capable of working independently and responsibly, focusing on the creation of business value and meticulous attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and Azure.
  • Engagement in Agile projects and familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge in ML and MLOps/model operationalization.
  • Experience processing Time Series Data, like InfluxDB, Elastic, or Prometheus.
