Data Science Specialist at UHN AI Hub

As part of the dynamic UHN AI Hub within our prestigious Toronto General Hospital, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Data Science Specialist to elevate our AI-driven initiatives, specifically within our renowned cancer program. This role calls for expertise in machine learning and healthcare, offering a chance to profoundly impact patient care and clinical research. The AI Hub focuses on developing responsible AI solutions for enhanced healthcare delivery, supporting our mission of transforming medical practice and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage comprehensively with large oncology datasets, undertaking preprocessing, cleaning, and meticulous data organization for advanced analysis.
  • Develop and deploy robust NLP models, facilitating the integration of AI into clinical workflows and enhancing decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with oncology experts to parse and interpret diverse data types, contributing to innovative research and practical applications.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or similar fields. A PhD would be advantageous.
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in ML and data science, with hands-on expertise in Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Proven ability in managing healthcare data, with a solid grasp of relevant methodologies, challenges, and environments.
