Job Overview: Data Scientist II - Data and Analytics Team

The Data and Analytics department at Mastercard has been instrumental in developing a transaction-based revenue methodology that significantly informs our strategic decisions, product design, and innovation. Joining this team means you'll work on large scale analytical capabilities that impact users across six continents.

Role Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Global Send team to architect and develop advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities.
• Transform business requirements into actionable solutions and deliverables.
• Establish repeatable processes to support the development of modeling and reporting.
• Utilize tools to manage large-scale databases and synthesize insights, presenting findings effectively using tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
• Implement quality control and data validation to optimize the integrity of data sources.

About You:

• Proven experience in data management, mining, analytics, reporting, and product development.
• Background in Financial Institutions or Payments industry is beneficial.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Microsoft BI Stack, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.
• Familiarity with data modeling, data visualization tools (Tableau, Domo, PowerBI), and programming in Hadoop environments, Python, R, or WPS is advantageous.
• Exceptional problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder requirements effectively.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. M.S./M.B.A. preferred.
