Role Overview

As the Director of AI Platforms, you will be instrumental in building the foundations of our enterprise AI capabilities. Your responsibilities include developing generic platform services, SDKs, and APIs to support applications powered by Generative AI. You will also be at the forefront of creating high-quality curated datasets and productionizing models, working closely with applied research and product teams to identify and prioritize services.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop abstracted platform services for applications powered by Generative AI.
  • Create SDKs and APIs for a wide range of applications, including information retrieval, fraud detection, and AI Assistants.
  • Design and build RAG service platform orchestrations, including prompt engineering, guardrails, and vector databases.
  • Build out a Prompt management service through cross-organizational partnerships.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and GenAI technology operationalization.
  • Implement MLOps capabilities for foundation models.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or C/C++.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing, building, and deploying enterprise AI or ML applications.
  • Experience with ML automation (MLOps) for complex data science workflows for at least 3 years.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading ML solution development teams.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with LLM-based conversational AI systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field with a focus on modern AI techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Graph or Network Theory and relevant frameworks like DGL or NetworkX.
  • Experience in designing large-scale distributed cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Expertise in building abstracted SDKs and familiarity with Haystack, Langchain, or similar tools.
  • Experience with security, performance, and cost optimization in cloud systems.
  • Experience with MLOps pipelines and tools like Kubeflow Pipelines.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Preferred experience in tech and product-driven companies/startups.
  • Experience in areas including prompt engineering, guardrails, vector databases, and LLM hosting.
