As a direct report to the Vice President of North America Data Products, you will play an essential role in Visa’s Data Products team, aiding in bridging client requirements with relevant and impactful data products and solutions. Your role will be a blend of sales, product strategy, and analytics, devising solutions to meet strategic customer needs while working towards achieving client growth targets. This will be achieved by working with Visa’s client sales and business development organizations to prospect promising clients, deliver sales presentations, and support the expansion of Data Products’ client base.
The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of prior experience in selling data product-focused solutions, hold an advanced degree in Business or Information Technology, and have experience handling clients within a data and/or software-as-a-service business model.
As the Director of Business Solutions, you will:
Hold responsibility for the sales strategy for a particular client segment.
Aid in the go-to-market strategy and commercialization of data products for North America.
Utilize Visa’s collection of data products to identify and pursue new business and growth opportunities.
Work closely with a cross-functional team from Product, Sales, and Business Development to establish and drive strategic business objectives for Visa.
Effectively communicate with executive leadership and influence others within and outside of the immediate business unit.
Lead or participate in meetings with Product Management, Finance, and Sales.
Provide partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams to enhance product feature offerings.
Deliver sales presentations to various Visa clients including Issuers, Acquirers, Co-brand entities, Merchants, Fintechs, and others.
Work in tandem with Client Success and Operations personnel to ensure a seamless client journey experience.
Collaborate with Sales Operations to provide the most optimal client experience during the onboarding process and for process optimization.
Consistently manage the sales pipeline and key metrics to provide ongoing visibility into goals and accurate revenue forecasting.
Be responsible for the management of small to medium-sized projects or processes and provide guidance to other team members.
Mentor, review, and delegate tasks to supporting team members.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees split their time between remote work and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office on set days 2-3 times a week (decided by leadership/site), aiming to be in the office at least 50% of the time or more based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
The candidate must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills. Active listening skills are a must
The candidate must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers.
The applicant must be able to converse effectively with both technical and non-technical customers and internal teams.
Strong data analysis skills are necessary. Hands-on experience with Microstrategy and Tableau is a plus.
The candidate must be able to engage in market research to interpret market trends to drive sales strategies.
The individual should have demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results.
The applicant should be a self-starter with a bias toward action and a proven track record for successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing payments products.
Experience at a SaaS company is preferred, but not required.
Previous work in the financial industry is a significant plus.
The job will require some amount of travel.
Work Hours: Will vary according to the department's requirements.
Travel Requirements: This position will require travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and over the phone, frequently operate standard office equipment, like telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this role is $176,900.00 to $230,000.00 USD. This may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). The salary may vary based on multiple job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition, this role may be eligible for bonus and equity.
