About the Role

Become a critical part of building the next generation of AI! As an AI Tutor specialized in Chemical/Materials Science, you will play a direct role in shaping how AI understands and interacts with the building blocks of our world. Your expertise will be vital in developing AI models capable of tackling complex challenges in materials design, drug discovery, chemical synthesis, and more. By employing your knowledge through RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) techniques, you will guide these models to reason, predict, and innovate within this exciting scientific domain.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Educate AI: Analyze and provide feedback on AI-generated outputs related to chemical reactions, molecular structures, material properties, and synthesis pathways. Your guidance will directly improve the AI's accuracy and ability to apply its knowledge to real-world problems.
  • Problem Solving: Use your expertise to provide step-by-step solutions and explanations for complex problems in chemical and materials science. You will design experiments, optimize reaction conditions, predict material behavior under different conditions, and analyze spectroscopic data. Your input will be crucial in teaching the AI how to reason through these problems effectively.
  • Red Teaming: Utilize your deep understanding of the field to identify potential biases, limitations, or inaccuracies in the AI's knowledge base. Design and conduct tests that push the boundaries of the model's understanding, ensuring its outputs are reliable and applicable to real-world scenarios.

About You

  • Bachelor's, Master's degree, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of core concepts in chemistry and/or materials science.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to break down complex scientific information into clear and concise explanations.
  • Experience with data analysis, modeling, or simulation in a chemical or materials science context is a plus.
  • Passion for advancing the field of AI and its applications in scientific discovery.

Pay Range

Rate per hour: $15 — $60 USD

Excel in a Remote-Friendly Hybrid Model

We are dedicated to achieving excellence and recognize the importance of bringing our talented team together.
