Work on improving the accuracy and control of robotics based on reinforcement learning; this role demands solid software expertise along with mechatronics capabilities, which encompass design and fabrication skills. Proficiency with Python, Arduino, mechanical and electronic CAD tools like FreeCAD and GEDA, middleware such as ROS and OpenCV, and optimisation packages such as IPOPT is desirable, as are prototyping skills like CNC milling and 3D printing. Most crucially, a strong imagination and creativity are needed – the capacity to solve problems that don't come directly from the textbook. Research Areas: Machine Learning, Optimization, Robotics.
