Role

We are seeking a Junior NLP Data Scientist to join our three-member Machine Learning Team. The rapidly increasing client base requires us to expand our Machine Learning team, and so, we are in need of a new member to handle part of the daily tasks.

As a Data Scientist at DigitalGenius, you will leverage our existing machine learning solutions, APIs, and analytics to maximize the product's performance for our customers.

The Machine Learning team at DigitalGenius is in charge of all Data Science related projects. This entails everything from research, implementation, API management, testing, production, data analysis, and error reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Actively collaborate with team members and clients on data analysis, machine learning model evaluations, and reporting
  • Data Wrangling: gathering closed data sources and processing data
  • Take responsibility for all clients' data analysis
  • Work closely with our labelers
  • Manage/Tune existing and legacy machine learning models
  • Contribute to Research and development projects

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Python
  • Proficient understanding of NLP techniques such as message cleaning, vectorising, clustering etc.
  • Basic comprehension of machine learning techniques and algorithms like supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, recommendation algorithms, predictive modelling and statistics.
  • Proficient in machine learning and data handling libraries such as PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, Numpy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently and to deliver results within deadlines.
  • A proactive, innovative and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and the capacity to think critically and objectively.
  • Good customer-facing skills and ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
