Imagine influencing how millions of Tide members explore and interact with business banking platforms on a global scale. What we’re looking for: An experienced Lead Data Scientist capable of creating and incorporating intelligence into the products that provide substantial business value to the Partnership credit services business vertical of Tide. As the Lead Data Scientist you’ll: - Work closely with our Partnership Credit Services team to solve business problems and make effective decisions. This includes areas of Lender Behavior, Lead Priority Engine, and Intelligence to match Lenders with Prospective Members. - Develop a high-level roadmap for Data Science initiatives that can aid decision making and enhance Business Performance. - Understand business requirements and design data products to address them. - Identify imaginative solutions to create relevant training data sets. - Train models and optimize hyperparameters. - Collaborate with our machine learning engineers and data engineers to put models into production. - Adopt new methods and methodologies. - Mentor junior data scientists on best practices. What makes you a great fit: - You have over 7 years of experience in Software development or Machine Learning, with proficiency in Python. - You have extensive experience in financial services, especially Credit Services but it's not mandatory. - You have significant experience with Machine Learning tools - scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch. - You have experience with big-data technologies such as Spark, SparkML, Hadoop etc., and a strong knowledge of Cloud (AWS or other). - You have exceptional leadership skills, having managed a team of data scientists and helped them grow. - You have a strong business acumen, and can effectively translate business problems into data products. - You have excellent communication skills, and can explain statistical concepts and technical tradeoffs to business users. - You have experience in training, optimizing, and deploying various ML-algorithms, such as logistic regressions, boosted trees, and neural networks. - You’re a self-starter who takes initiative in identifying opportunities and finding ways to solve challenges with data. - You can deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment. - You have experience working in agile teams. - You’re familiar with basic data table operations (SQL etc.), data transformations in data warehouses (dbt etc.) and business intelligence software (e.g., Looker). - You’re familiar with model observability and explainability at scale.
