JPMorgan Chase & Co. is actively seeking a seasoned Applied AI/ML Engineer/Data Scientist Lead to join our innovative team in India. As a Lead Software Engineer focused on AI/ML, you will collaborate with global colleagues to develop and implement cutting-edge AI/ML solutions that address complex Technology Operations and SRE challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML Solutions for AWM AIOps Function.
• Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models and algorithms to solve business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Train and evaluate AI/ML models using large datasets.
• Apply advanced statistical and ML techniques, such as predictive modeling, time series analysis, and optimization algorithms, to extract insights from complex data sets.
• Optimize and fine-tune AI/ML models for performance and accuracy.
• Design and develop data pipelines for data preprocessing and transformation.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data science and machine learning, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of strong programming skills in Python, with experience in developing and maintaining production-level code.
• Proficiency in managing large datasets and data preprocessing.
• Solid understanding of AI/ML algorithms, including deep learning, time series forecasting, and natural language processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS for deploying and scaling AI/ML models.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Airflow.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of infrastructure operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in backend development, including databases (SQL/NoSQL/Graph), programming languages (Python/Java/Node.js), web frameworks, APIs, and microservices, along with front-end development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of SRE practices.
• Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and associated toolsets in the LLM ecosystem (e.g., Langchain, Vector databases, opensource Hugging Face Models).
• Exposure to cloud automation technologies such as Terraform.
• Ability to assess and choose suitable LLM tools and models for diverse tasks, including curating custom datasets, fine-tuning LLM with parameter-efficient methods, and developing advanced LLM prompts, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, and Intelligent agents for LLMs.
