About The AI/ML Team

Our AI/Machine Learning team is pioneering breakthrough Machine Learning models for scalable applications, pushing the boundaries of the $400 Billion HR Tech industry. This dynamic team thrives on innovative challenges, working with massive datasets to create next-generation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and productionize advanced ML models across all Eightfold products.
• Enhance Open Source Large Language Models using diverse datasets.
• Apply cutting-edge solutions from Generative AI.
• Establish industry best practices for Machine Learning in HR and Recruiting.
• Promote equal opportunity by improving our internal model fairness platform.
• Create innovative Machine Learning and AI algorithms.
• Implement best practices for AI-enabled product development.
• Develop AI-based systems for Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Optimize ML models for time efficiency, performance, cost, scalability, and accuracy.
• Develop tools for the automatic training, updating, and evaluation of Large Language Models.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Solid foundation in Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and NLP.
• Experience with GenAI, LLMs (e.g., BERT, GPT-3, T-5), and transformers.
• Proficiency in ML programming languages (Python, C, C++, Java, R, Scala, etc.).
• Understanding of data and ML systems, including REST APIs, microservices, data ingestion, processing systems, and distributed systems.
• Passion for delivering high-quality models.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with ML/AI algorithms, tools, Deep Learning, or NLP.
• Familiarity with Python scientific libraries (numba, pandas) and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, tensorflow, torch, etc.).
• Experience in implementing production ML systems and handling large-scale datasets.
• Hands-on experience with NLP solutions.
• Knowledge of Spark, MLLib, Databricks MLFlow, Apache Airflow, and related technologies.
• Experience with large data analysis using Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies.
• Proven innovation ability, supported by a track record of software artifacts or academic publications in applied ML.

Pay Transparency

This Santa Clara, CA hybrid role offers a base annual salary range of $144,000 to $169,000, with eligibility for up to a 10% discretionary bonus and pre-IPO equity (stock options). This compensation package varies based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

Hybrid Work at Eightfold

We embrace a hybrid work model to foster collaboration, strengthen our culture, and drive innovation through a mix of remote and in-person engagements. Starting February 1, 2024, employees near Santa Clara, CA, as well as our Bangalore and Noida offices in India, will return to the office twice a week.
