Job Description

We are seeking talented individuals with a fervor for programming and zeal for analytical and problem-solving challenges to join our team!

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing development of our processing and imaging techniques. You will collaborate closely with researchers, the software development group, and the scientists in our seismic imaging teams to implement deep learning solutions.

You will work alongside our geoscientists to verify the potential opportunities for machine learning techniques, prepare data for training and testing, design the model, train the model and launch it in production.

Location

The successful candidates will join our largest European center, situated in Crawley, a town near London Gatwick Airport and just outside the M25 with excellent transport links to Central London and the South Coast. #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

You are likely to hold a PHD degree in any of the following disciplines, but a combination of education and experience will be considered; Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • A passion and skill for programming, technology and enthusiasm for analytical and problem-solving challenges
  • Strong experience in developing and debugging in Python and preferably at least one of other main languages (C/C++/ java)
  • Demonstrated experience with deep learning frameworks and use of DL libraries (TensorFlow/Pytorch)
  • Ability to design, build, test, and support innovative solutions
  • Ability to define and manage project deadlines
  • Ability to balance workloads across various projects
  • Commitment to keeping all stakeholders regularly informed on progress
  • Innovation capacity and having fun through collaboration and idea generation leading to enhancements of our workflows
  • An enthusiastic attitude towards learning and the versatility to adapt to new challenges or changes in direction
