Job Description

The Manager, Business Operations in our Diagnostic Imaging (DI) department plays an active role in providing motivating and visionary leadership to foster quality patient care delivery, exceptional operational performance, and evidence-based decision-making. This role involves responsibility for all activities related to quality and process improvement, business analytics, and project management within the team.

Key responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions in collaboration with team members and relevant partners. The role also includes managing portfolio human resources and supporting organizational strategies and development initiatives.

Accountabilities

  • Effective and efficient management of the portfolio.
  • Evaluation of structures, strategies, and processes to identify service delivery and resource utilization improvements.
  • Development and management of short- and long-term plans for the portfolio.
  • Conducting regular performance appraisals of direct reports and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Maintaining and motivating a diverse and high-functioning team of business/health administration professionals.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources for staff recruitment, development, and retention strategies.

Quality and Process Improvement

  • Identifying and implementing quality improvement plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the quality infrastructure and facilitating quality care reviews.
  • Implementing best practice policies, procedures, and training for resource and system application efficiency.

Business Analytics

  • Establishing performance indicators and dashboards to analyze program performance.
  • Developing business cases or proposals and ensuring data quality for effective decision-making.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to manage program resources comprehensively and cost-effectively.

Project Management

  • Preparing updates on strategic initiatives, PACS, digital path, and HIS.
  • Developing and executing project infrastructure to improve processes and outcomes within DI.
  • Managing risks and issues related to DI projects and supporting status updates through various communication channels.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in business management or engineering required; Masters degree in health informatics, statistics, business, or related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of six years of related experience, including leadership roles.
  • Expertise in quality and process improvement, hospital data analysis, and project management required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Motivated team player with a reputation for consultative and collaborative leadership.
