The Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) team is a pivotal part of our Global Solutions organization. We are a dynamic team of data scientists, data analysts, and statisticians dedicated to helping major organizations adapt to technological, financial, and commercial changes through advanced analytic solutions. Join us as a Data Science Manager (Sr. Data Scientist) in our Bangalore office.

Role Responsibilities

As a Data Science Manager (Sr. Data Scientist) at Visa, you will:

• Lead data science projects from conception to completion, delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
• Design, develop, and implement analytics-driven strategies and high-impact solutions for Visa clients.
• Utilize VisaNet, non-traditional data, and cutting-edge modeling techniques to innovate and meet client needs.
• Enhance analytic techniques by promoting new methodologies and best practices.
• Use metrics and dashboards to quantify and monitor progress across markets and segments.
• Act as an advocate for data science within our partner organizations, providing coaching and sharing best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, automate, and scale reusable solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; or 2 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD); or 0 years with a PhD; or 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree; or up to 3 years with a PhD.
• Experience in developing machine learning solutions, data handling, and machine learning models.
• Proficiency in big data technologies and data engineering tools.
• Experience in Credit Risk or Fraud Risk analytics and Marketing Analytics.
• Skills in data visualization and BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in the banking, payments, or e-commerce industries is preferred but not required.
