Job Description

Western Digital is seeking a Senior Chatbot Technical Lead for Flash who will spearhead the development and design of our chatbot application, supporting Western Digital employees across various business domains.

As a Technical Lead, your key responsibilities include managing the chatbot platform, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the technical health, performance, and development of the chatbot. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and be user-experience oriented with a passion for technology and learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6+ years of work experience as a software engineer.
  • 3-5 years of experience in building chatbots.
  • Experience working with APIs and software development life cycle.
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (advanced English).
  • Strong passion for innovation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to achieve aggressive deadlines and work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, plan, and execute product roadmaps.
  • Develop integration layers and APIs to support 3rd party services integration.
  • Solve customer challenges using Text UI for personalized, contextual real-time information delivery.
  • Design end-to-end conversational interactions, including handling errors and interruptions.
  • Understand user intent and manage conversational rules (branching, resolution flows, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with team members, PM, end users, and support engineers for high-quality product delivery with flexible and scalable architecture.
  • Maintain close relationships with vendors and work with Technical Project Manager to escalate technical hurdles.
  • Deliver complete end-to-end solutions and track/share bot KPIs.
