Job Description

The navigation of a vehicle in a parking area has many specificities that are not addressed in the case of driving on the road. For example: lanes are not clearly marked, proximity to pedestrians, obstacles and poorly parked vehicles, vehicles in no-entry areas, each parking space is a potential insertion zone, etc.

The objective of this internship is to study the various possible scenarios and to propose a trajectory planning strategy to allow the autonomous vehicle to reach its target in an optimal time.

Work approach:

·State of the art on expert systems and learning methods.

·Definition of operational use cases.

·Definition of a model for describing the target environment.

·Definition of the design strategy.

·Definition of a simplified simulation and ego vehicle behavior environment.

·Development of algorithms.

·Evaluation tests in simulation.

Research report.

Qualifications

Dynamic scene analysis, expert systems, artificial intelligence, image processing, trajectory prediction, simulation.

Software development tools: Python, C/C++, ROS, Linux.
