Job Role: PhD-level Scientist

We are on the lookout for a PhD-level Scientist to address sophisticated challenges related to human state assessment, performance optimization, physiological event detection, health and wellness, and medical diagnostics. This role involves:

  • Working on projects like embedding cognitive behavioral therapy treatment into virtual reality.
  • Developing feature extraction methodologies for real-time sensor data processing and analysis (e.g., EEG, EKG, fNIRS).
  • Pursuing novel technological applications to solve challenging problems.
  • Contributing to proposals, reports, and papers, and presenting work at briefings and conferences.
  • Collaborating with software engineers to create technology solutions.
  • Interacting with customers, users, and domain experts to understand and address challenges.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • PhD in Neuroscience/Computational Neuroscience/Cognitive Science/Psychology, Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Experience with DoD entities such as DARPA, AFRL, NRO, ARL, or similar is desirable.
  • Proven capability to lead innovative, independent research and manage customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Python and at least one of the following data science software tools: pandas, tensorflow, scikit-learn, luigi, nipype, mne, statsmodels, pymc3.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and software (e.g., scikit learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
  • Ability to work onsite 3 times per week (60% onsite / 40% remote) in Cambridge, MA.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
