Job Description

We are on the hunt for commercial data analysts with proven experience in using data to propose business solutions that provide value for our clients. The rate of technology adoption in the construction sector is increasing at a brisk pace. You will be self-assured in identifying opportunities and the business rationale to back investment.

You will need to be comfortable working independently to comprehend client outputs and outcomes, then develop solutions to bring that information to the surface for decision-making purposes. Consequently, your key quality will be an exemplary ability to communicate and persuade both internal and external stakeholders.

You will play a senior role, both propelling development within teams of reporting specialists, typically using Agile methodologies, while actively delivering the required scope.

Our clients are some of Ireland's largest infrastructure and real estate clients. They have complex and ever-evolving technologies. Our approach is to operate within their technological environments. Therefore, you will be enthusiastic about learning new tools and systems and consistently supportive of innovation and change.

You will have strong mathematical skills and be confident working with various technologies. We're looking for a diverse range of individuals, particularly those with excellent back-end development skills in building data-marts as well as front-end developers well-versed in Microsoft’s technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steering team presentations and pitching clear, customized business cases to clients
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working in a client-facing role
  • Significant experience in developing software tools to enhance the efficiency of an existing process using Microsoft's suite of products such as Excel, VBA, SQL, etc
  • Understanding of project and program delivery in the built environment, ideally within the context of a large utility
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and preferably some consultancy experience

Qualifications

These roles require strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to understand and present data in different forms. Preferred skills include:

  • A degree in an analytical subject such as Maths, Geography, Engineering, Economics, etc
  • A-Level Maths and/or computing
  • Business Analysis qualifications such as BCS or IIBA would be advantageous
  • An understanding of different project delivery methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, etc)
  • Experience with modeling, diagramming applications (e.g., Visio, LucidChart, etc)
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates are expected to interact with clients and comfortably elicit requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
