A Senior Data Analyst is required to join our team on a permanent basis. Please note that Wunderman Thompson Commerce and Technology are hiring on behalf of Gain Theory, both of which are Wunderman Thompson/WPP companies. What you’ll do: You will work as part of a client team supporting a Data Communications Lead and Data Manager on the collection, ingestion and processing of marketing data and deliver cleaned data to the modelling side of the team for analysis. The Senior Data Analyst is expected to use data processing techniques including SQL and ETL to manage the data. They will also utilize our internal data automation tools to ensure data pipelines, which clean and transform data, are executed effectively. Also, the Senior Data Analyst will work with the Data Manager on coordinating with client and agency contacts to maintain a constant flow of data from relevant data sources. The role will also involve interaction with the wider data community within Gain Theory, particularly with members of the Data Centre of Excellence (DCOE) to share best practices and provide and receive support. Key Responsibilities: Data Management & Analysis: Manage data extraction, manipulation and validation. - Perform data extraction and processing - Develop data QA insights relevant to the project - Guarantee that all data is systematically checked and passes all QA steps Data Architecture: Execute and update data pipelines - Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using all the tools that Gain Theory has available - Collaborate with fellow data analysts to build scalable solutions using ETL/ELT pipelines Research & Development: Support wider improvements in data - Propose better approaches to help improve internal procedures including new methodology, etc. - Share techniques and ideas with the wider data community Meetings: Organization and participation in internal meetings - Initiate and participate in internal project meetings, ensuring there is an agenda - Ensure that project meeting action points are collected and shared with the team What we want from you: - Comfortable working with large amounts of data in a cloud ecosystem - Familiar with standard data processing tools/concepts (e.g. SQL, ETL), and experience driving robust QA processes - Experience with Snowflake is a plus - Experience with data manipulation/visualization tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau) - Python/R experience is a plus - Extreme attention to detail is a must - Understanding or experience of business marketing and media is a plus - Strong interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills - Team orientated attitude - Capacity to learn new skills and master new tools What we can offer you: Along with the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting brands worldwide, we'll also prioritize your career development and help you grow your skills.
