Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
- Join agile Scrum teams as a data & analytics engineer developing enterprise-grade data and analytics infrastructure, tools, and products.
- Enhance our data engineering capabilities with a focus on establishing foundational data assets, engineering pipelines, and data platform strategies.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of critical data via the Kroll Connected Ecosystem.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships to better understand product demands and delivery expectations.
- Foster the adoption of new data products and platforms to improve operations across the organization.
- Lead initiatives to build scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines and platforms across multiple systems and applications.
- Formulate and deploy an enterprise-level data strategy that includes Governance, Data Architecture, and Big Data Analytics.
- Guide global cross-functional teams, contributing to international projects and collaborations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in data lakes creation on major big data platforms (experience with Azure Data Lake or Databricks is preferred).
- Expertise in Azure & Databricks across the data lifecycle including migrations, transformations, and modern data warehouse solutions.
- Proficiency in data architecture, security, and modern data processing techniques.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Qlik and PowerBI, as well as streaming technologies like Kafka or Amazon Kinesis.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting complex datasets.
- Experience with DevOps strategies and cloud performance analysis.
Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT using Cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in Python/PySpark, Scala, and database technologies like Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with code deployment and orchestration tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
