We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a versatile skill set to help build the next-generation machine learning (ML) infrastructure.

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Data Science and Analytics Team. Partnering with Data Scientists, you will use Big Data technologies to build scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that supports the development of healthcare propensity models. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop robust data ingestion, ETL, and data warehousing solutions using modern cloud-based data engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Cloud Architects and Data Scientists to build scalable, next-generation data pipelines for healthcare model development on the cloud.
• Champion the adoption of new cloud-based database technologies and facilitate migrations to advanced modeling stacks.
• Collaborate with team leads to define project requirements and develop comprehensive data solutions including source ingestion, ETL, and warehousing.
• Develop a deep understanding of business and product data needs to design effective data-engineering solutions.
• Build expertise across various data sources including Acxiom health data, proprietary data, survey/panel data, and media content activity.
• Identify and resolve defects/bugs in data pipelines during all stages of development, including QA testing, production, and post-release.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of data services.
• Document designs and service components comprehensively.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of data engineering experience, including at least 4+ years working with healthcare data and developing large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong experience in data pipelining, warehousing, and ETL development for Big Data applications.
• Deep knowledge of ML algorithms and model development processes.
• Experience with Cloud databases such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, and Azure SQL, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Proficiency in Big Data technologies like PySpark, Spark/SparkSQL, and distributed compute frameworks.
• Experience with container-based applications (Kubernetes, Docker) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloud-based ETL tools like AWS Glue or AWS Data Pipeline.
• Experience in real-time and streaming data pipeline development.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools like Apache MLFlow/KubeFlow.
• Exposure to comprehensive ML platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML Studio, and Google AI/ML.
• Experience in handling and managing third-party data.
