This role focuses on enabling better understanding and connectivity between Walmart and the over 150 million households shopping with us by leveraging Causal Inference Processes.

About the Role:

The Customer Digital Identity (CDI) group operates at the heart of understanding and connecting with our diverse customer base. By maintaining streamlined processes and ensuring security and scalability, the CDI team enhances Walmart’s understanding of shopper preferences and experiences.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead our development in Causal Inference, which contributes to strategic planning and decision-making. You’ll work closely with teams across Walmart Connect and Data Ventures to innovate tools that quantify the impact of various investments and decisions, helping to guide the business forward.

What You’ll Need:

• Proficiency in Python, with R and Scala being advantageous.
• Experience in designing and executing Causal Inference frameworks using tools such as DoWhy, EconML, or similar.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and others.
• Strong background in SQL and familiarity with SparkSQL or PySpark.
• Experience in cloud environments like Azure or Google Cloud.
• Solid practice in MLOps, including unit testing, integration testing, and use of source code control systems like git.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, with a PhD preferred.

Salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00, accompanied by performance-based bonuses and potential stock options.
