Position: Senior Decision Scientist - Digital Personalization & Experimentation

Join our Consumer Engagement Analytics team for a unique opportunity to leverage advanced analytics, experimentation, causal inference, and strategic problem-solving to grow products at CVS Health.

Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule at our NYC office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Must reside within a commutable distance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute strategies to grow the eCommerce business leveraging data science capabilities such as product recommendation engines, search personalization and optimization, and experimentation.
  • Partner closely with business teams to understand their problems and translate them into analytics solutions.
  • Analyze customer journeys to identify opportunities to drive app adoption, engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to deploy ML/AI solutions.
  • Design, measure, and optimize online experiments (AB testing).
  • Use causal inference and MMM techniques to supplement experiments where AB testing isn't feasible.

A successful candidate will be independent, critical thinkers who are comfortable with ambiguous data-driven problems and collaboration with both technical and non-technical leaders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems using advanced statistical techniques and industry knowledge.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their goals, perform statistical analyses, data reporting, and develop performance metrics.
  • Present analyses and drive product strategy with business partners.
  • Utilize strong programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large data volumes in various formats.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Python and SQL.
  • 3+ years of experience in stakeholder management, including recommending actionable insights and presenting outcomes of complex models to diverse business audiences.
  • 2+ years of experience preparing data for analysis, collaborating with data engineering teams, and performing feature engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience using advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large multi-source data sets.
  • 2+ years of experience in experimental design and measurement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing online experiments (AB testing).
  • Proficiency in communicating technical concepts to business partners.
  • Effective communication skills with business partners, project teams, and senior management.
  • Ability to anticipate and address problems proactively.
  • Proficiency in mathematical analysis methods, statistical analyses, experiment design, and predictive modeling, with specialization in specific areas.

Education:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • PhD in a related discipline is preferred.

Compensation:

The typical pay range for this role is $106,605.00 - $206,000.00. The actual base salary offer will depend on various factors, including experience, education, and geography. This position is eligible for CVS Health bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentives in addition to the base pay range.
