About the role:
Join us! The Classy team is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to oversee the end-to-end implementation of machine learning products in our data function. You will work with an accomplished team to drive impact for our users and our business.
What you'll achieve:
-Provide technical leadership and guide the development and deployment of machine learning models.
-Work closely with other data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to successfully implement machine learning projects.
-Collaborate with senior management to outline a long-term machine learning strategy, identifying opportunities to utilize data for business growth and customer happiness.
-Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models, algorithms, and data pipelines to solve complex problems and enhance business processes.
What you need:
-8+ years of practical experience in machine learning, data science, and analytics with a proven record of leading complex projects.
-Experience in developing and implementing large-scale and/or real-time Machine Learning projects.
-Extensive understanding of machine learning algorithms, including a deep understanding of statistical modeling, and Python development tools and libraries.
-Expertise in SQL and analytical warehouses (Snowflake)
-Demonstrated ability to improve the Machine Learning discipline and foster a high-performing environment.
-Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply innovative solutions to real-world problems.
-Comfortable experimenting with and incorporating new techniques into our existing system.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A Masters or Ph.D in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Prior experience with pricing predictions and/or time-series forecasting
-Experience with Generative AI is a plus, but not required

The total annual salary for this full-time position is $150,000 - $200,000 + equity and benefits. The final salary will be determined by the job location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
