About the Role

Join our dedicated Config/Discovery team responsible for maintaining the health metrics of our ServiceNow CMDB/CI’s through daily discovery jobs and best practices. As part of our India team, you'll support round-the-clock data quality remediation efforts, reporting directly to our Principal Infrastructure Engineer. Your contributions will drive the accuracy of our ITSM processes and reporting metrics.

Job Description

The CMDB Data Analyst is a data specialist and validator responsible for collecting, verifying, updating, and reporting on CMDB data. They address data quality issues, contribute to IT change planning, and manage incidents ensuring CMDB accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage data populated in the CMDB.
  • Possess strong ServiceNow CMDB skills.
  • Understand ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Generate reports and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams and maintain customer service excellence.
  • Maintain relationships with business stakeholders for data integrity.
  • Conduct CMDB audits and remediation activities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of CMDB best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with ServiceNow CMDB data quality and analysis.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with ServiceNow reporting and report generation.
  • Deep understanding of Workflows, database view creation, and CMDB concepts.
  • Experience with discovery tools like horizontal discovery, ACC, and Tanium.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with network concepts (routers, switches, firewalls).
