Job Overview

LivePerson is looking for a Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer to join our Global Product & Technology (GPT) Division. As part of our SRE team, you will build and manage highly available, distributed systems. Join a dynamic environment that combines the agility of a start-up with the robustness of a global leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure 24x7 product uptime and reliability.
  • Manage Linux servers in a multi-cloud environment.
  • Oversee high availability Kubernetes resources using Helm charts.
  • Deploy upgrades and patches with tools like Puppet, Ansible, and Chef.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot alerts related to platform performance.
  • Develop monitoring resources and alerting systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, DataDog, and PagerDuty.
  • Coordinate with DBA and developers to manage SQL and NOSQL database systems, including MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Postgres, MySQL, and others.
  • Manage message bus systems like Kafka and Pulsar.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience managing a cloud-based production environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
  • Proficient in working within a Linux environment, with strong scripting skills in Bash/Python.
  • Experienced with configuration management systems such as Puppet, OpsCode Chef, Ansible.
  • Strong expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IAC tools.
  • Skilled in SQL, including DDL and complex queries.
  • Experienced with the Kubernetes platform and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline orchestration tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, and GitLab.
  • Highly motivated, independent, and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong background in cloud, network, and application security and compliance.
  • Experience with GPT or other LLMs is a strong advantage.
