As a Solutions Consultant (Big Data) in our Professional Services team, you will collaborate with clients on short to medium term projects concerning their big data challenges using the Databricks platform. You will handle data engineering, data science, and cloud technology tasks which involve integrating with client systems, providing training, and executing technical tasks to assist clients in maximizing the value of their data. They are billable and are proficient in executing projects according to the specified instructions while delivering excellent customer service.
The impact you will have:
- You will be involved in various impactful customer technical projects which may comprise creating reference architectures, instructive guides and production grade MVPs.
- You will guide strategic customers as they implement transformative big data projects and third-party migrations, including the comprehensive design, development, and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications.
- Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or carry out strategic customer projects leading to the customers' successful understanding, assessment, and adoption of Databricks.
- Provide an escalated level of support for customer operational issues.
- You will work with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure the technical components of the assignment are delivered to meet customer's needs.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and guide swift resolution for engagement specific product and support issues.
What we look for:
- 4+ years of experience with Big Data Technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Cloud Native, and Data Lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture or consulting role.
- 2+ years of experience working on Big Data Architecture.
- Comfortable writing code in Python, Pyspark, Scala.
- Experience working across Cloud Platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure).
- Documentation and white-boarding skills.
- Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
- Build skills in technical areas which support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to finalize customer projects.
