What You'll Do

As a Sr. Applied Scientist within our team, you will take charge of designing, building, and deploying next-generation machine learning models, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation models, that enhance the capabilities of our Rufus application. This role combines theoretical expertise in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and practical implementation skills to drive innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define needs and implement scalable ML models.
• Leading the management and experimentation of ML models at scale.
• Optimizing science solutions using advanced ML techniques.
• Acting as a technical leader and liaison, facilitating collaboration across teams and addressing technical challenges.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate is not just skilled in ML, AI, and LLMs but also exhibits a strong blend of tactical and strategic thinking. You should have:

• A PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• At least 3 years experience in building machine learning models for business applications.
• Fluency in programming languages like Java, C++, or Python.
• A strong background in machine learning, AI, or computational sciences.

Preferred qualifications include experience with deep learning frameworks like MxNet, TensorFlow, and large scale machine learning systems.
