We are searching for a strong Data Engineering Associate Manager who will work closely with Product and Marketing stakeholders, Data Scientists, and Software engineers to support product launches and roadmaps. This role includes leading a team of Engineers tasked with building data platforms that power the business strategies and innovation at Core Digital Media with reliable and intelligent insight. All team members contribute to the development, management, and support of data pipelines, data warehouses, data integrations, and analytical solutions. The leader of this role alongside carrying out hands-on tasks will mentor Data Engineers to implement appropriate and scalable data solutions. They will collaborate with the Head of Data Engineering and Data Architecture to formulate the data strategy and are expected to be onsite at least two days a week. Responsibilities: - Build cross-functional relationships to understand and fulfill data needs. - Work with Architects on designing, developing, and implementing data solutions using open-source, cloud-native technology stack. - Responsible for maintaining best data model standards and launching data pipelines in production. - Enhance delivery pipeline through automation and effective test coverage. - Foster innovation in the team and prototype complex business solutions. - Contribute to the Data Engineering Roadmap and maintain Data Tech Stack to the industry standard. - Ensure data quality across programming and business domains. - Define and manage the team's priorities and SLAs for all data and processes running in production. - Collaborate with stakeholders to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira. - Maintain detailed documentation supporting data quality and governance. - Oversee workload and project prioritization. - Mentoring team members in their career development and participating in code reviews. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. - 7+ years of experience in building and sustaining data solutions. - Technical leadership or management experience of 2+ years. - Strong programming skills in Python. - Solid experience with data integration toolsets like Airflow. - Strong in data modeling techniques and data warehousing standards. - Technical expertise in building reliable data ETL processes and query optimization. - Experience with cloud database technologies such as Snowflake and Big Query, and cloud technologies like AWS. - Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies. - Experience in building and using APIs. - Strong testing and version control methodology. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills. - Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external partners.
