Job Description
We are seeking candidates located in PST and/or MST Time Zones. As a Senior Decision Scientist within the Afterpay Disputes and Risk Partnerships team, you will have a consumer-oriented focus, being responsible for key KPIs associated with merchants' effect on consumer loss performance. Simultaneously, you'll also lead strategic initiatives for data-driven dispute resolution and risk management. You'll closely collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align data science efforts with organizational aims.
Your responsibilities will include leveraging data-driven insights to evaluate and optimize business performance while proactively identifying opportunities to improve the merchant portfolio's performance. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders across regional and global domains to align on impacts and reach a consensus. You will provide senior-level support to targeted business activities, focusing on driving significant business growth through potential product and process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
You should have a minimum of 4 years of risk management experience in one or more of these areas: credit and/or fraud risk mitigation for online or in-store payments, disputes, payments compliance, underwriting. Your technical skills must include SQL, Python, Tableau/Looker, and cloud environments. You should also have strong communication skills and be able to adapt, solve problems, and make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
