WHAT YOU WILL DO: • Our robotics interns contribute to solving real and significant problems encountered by the team. • Previous intern projects include building an automated platform for robot performance analysis, integrating and characterizing new experimental cameras, integrating differential GPS into our robots, and revamping a model predictive control dynamics model to improve flight behavior on one of our robots. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • You should be currently pursuing a BS or MS in Robotics, Computer Science, or any related field. • You should be in your Junior year or beyond at the time of the internship. • You should be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies. • You should have a proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency. • You should have experience troubleshooting and analyzing deployed software systems. • You should have significant experience in statically typed, high-performance languages like C++, Rust, Haskell, etc. • You must have U.S. Person status as this position requires access to export controlled data. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience in one or more of the following: motion planning, perception, localization, mapping, controls, and related system performance metrics. • Experience with Python, Rust, and/or Go. • Experience programming for embedded and physical devices. • Experience with complex frame transformation problems, such as target localization or multi degree of freedom robotic arms. The salary range for this role is estimated based on a wide range of compensation factors, including base salary only. The actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
