Job Description
Analytics at Wolt is a business-critical area that includes teams for data science, product data analytics, and business intelligence. The complexity of online delivery, differences in the economics and dynamics of the cities we operate in, and vast amounts of data make our work truly compelling! We're currently hiring three Senior Analytics Engineers to join one of our product teams - Merchant, Support, or Consumer. You can work from Helsinki, Berlin, or Stockholm.
About the role
This role focuses on business needs and involves working within a cross-functional team, ensuring that your teammates have the insights they need for their operations. It involves interpreting the needs and requests of our internal stakeholders and transforming them into actionable data. You will work closely with data analysts and data scientists in the domain as your solutions will enable them to create relevant machine learning models and analyses.
We currently have three roles, each focused on a different product domain:
Merchant Domain - The Merchant Analytics team works to unlock insights related to the marketplace and convert them into actionable recommendations to drive the success of merchants at Wolt. The core mission is to provide merchants with efficient, reliable, and pleasant-to-use self-service tools and automation.
Support Domain - The goal of Support Analytics is to deliver an incredible support experience while optimizing operations by providing actionable insights through proper data processing. This will facilitate exploratory analyses and experiments and ultimately quantify the impact of these actions on the overall business.
Consumer Domain - As implied by the name, this domain team is responsible for building and developing Wolt's consumer-facing products. The core mission is to master user experience while scaling up the platform to deliver a mall in a pocket.
Your daily work will include:
- Developing reporting as a whole, from understanding business needs to providing easily understandable and actionable data.
-Working on our centrally maintained data integrations and data pipelines that power our Data Warehouse, our Looker data models, and dashboards. You'll get to use our modern BI stack as part of your work (Python, Looker, Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, Kafka, Github).
- Designing and implementing tracking on our products, which could unlock product analytics insights for product leads to understand user behavior.
- Developing a self-service BI strategy and partnering with Analytics for implementation.
- Increasing data literacy across the domain and expertise through hands-on training and documentation.
- Leading, mentoring, and guiding more junior team members.

- I've never worked with workflow automation tools like Airflow or Azkaban before. Is this a blocker for me to be an Analytics Engineer?
