Job Description

Your Career

As a Software Developer in Test, you will design, develop and deliver next-generation technologies. You will create, automate, and run performance testing scenarios for our products in virtual environments.

You will participate in design meetings and contribute to developing the future direction of our AI/ML software. You will drive the efficiency and reliability of our software through thorough testing to identify potential risks, bugs, or issues, providing an excellent product experience for our end-users. You relish in finding problems within code, seeking issues to rectify, and enjoy the challenge of a code-based treasure hunt that includes testing, giving feedback, and suggesting alternatives for our product's environment.

We are looking for highly technical individuals with a passion for getting hands-on experience with a diverse range of networking technologies. You'll work closely with our development and product management teams, testing, and presenting results to reveal new approaches.

Your Impact

• Design, develop and execute test automation for software features on our next-generation security platform as part of our AI/ML Strata Cloud Service
• Develop and maintain test automation and framework
• Develop tools and infrastructure that allow engineers to build, test, and release features confidently and continuously
• Understand customer configurations - Debug, reproduce, verify fixes and add new test cases to detected issues in customer deployments
• Conduct endurance and scale testing to confirm robust feature functionality under stress
• Work closely with the Software Engineering, Product Management teams during product development from design to release
• File bugs and work with Development to resolve seen issues
• Combine your creative abilities with a focused testing approach to produce the best quality cybersecurity products
• Involve in a rigorous approach to testing for specifications, assist the team with testing methods or tools for new testing
• You will also have the opportunity to work on various public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to automate cloud orchestration, visualization and alerting mechanisms
• Configure, construct and expand both Functional and System Testbeds
• Excellent troubleshooting skills - Debug issues found during testing and verify bug fixes once they are resolved

Qualifications

Your Experience

• BS or MS degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent military experience is required
• 8+ years of related experience as a Systems Test Engineer in networking/cloud technologies
• Good understanding of networking concepts, L2-L7 protocols
• Experience with API and UI automation/testing
• Scripting and/or programming with experience in Infrastructure and Tools development
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Experience with Unix/Linux OS
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies and working in groups, both small and large
• Career level years of proven experience leading test strategy for Cloud products such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure
• Experience in testing container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Testing network security products, preferably with firewalls and intrusion prevention is a plus
• Experience with VMWare vSphere is a plus
• Experience driving performance test initiatives for complex, asynchronous microservice-based systems
• A self-starter who is confident and effective when working across distributed teams
