We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated, solution-driven, and experienced Senior AI Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team at Affinidi Elements. In this position, you will collaborate with international peers on teams focused on different parts of the product portfolio, including product, design, infrastructure, architecture, and front/back-end engineering teams. As an AI engineer, you will be required to have extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and stay updated with the emerging trends in this rapidly evolving field. Your responsibilities will encompass collecting and analyzing data sets to identify patterns, creating predictive algorithmic models, designing, strategizing, and building quality systems, along with hands-on coding, performance testing, and integrating experience. This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering. What’s in it for you: - Design and develop AI/ML models aligned with the continual evolution of the Affinidi Elements technology stack, converting these models into APIs that other developers can utilize. - Carry out statistical analysis on massive data sets, interpret extremely complex data to derive actionable conclusions. - Manage the project infrastructure and development of AI models and projects. - Aid in expanding our team of machine learning engineers, data engineers, and AI engineers to develop machine learning models for our core products. - Build features and enhancements to the Affinidi Elements product in a secure, thoroughly tested, and efficient way. - Cooperate with Product Management and other Engineering stakeholders to uphold a high standard of quality in a fast-paced, iterative setting. - Advocate for improvements in product quality, security, and performance. - Write code that adheres to our internal coding standards focusing on style, maintainability, and best practices for high-scale systems and promote these standards through code review. - Take confident ownership of medium to highly complex features and enhancements with minimal guidance, and collaborate with the team on larger projects. - Mentor other engineers, contribute to team and organization-wide improvements in processes and tooling. You will be a perfect fit if you: - Have substantial experience (10+ years) in computer science, AI/ML, data science, or any related field. A master’s degree in these fields is advisable. - Have a firm understanding of prevalent programming languages used in AI, like Python, Java, C++, and R. - Are familiar with machine learning and deep learning algorithms, along with the use of popular AI/ML frameworks. - Have advanced knowledge of statistical and algorithmic models as well as of basic mathematical concepts, like linear algebra and probability. - Have experience working with large data sets and have the capability to write efficient code that can process large data streams swiftly.
