About Norbert
Health care desperately needs automation. There will be a shortage of 13 million nursing jobs by 2025, and there is a critical requirement to alleviate the burden of overworked nursing and medical staff. Healthcare must incorporate automation in a wider setting, including at home - by 2028, a staggering $265 billion worth of Medicare costs will move from hospital to home.
At Norbert, we've developed the technology and device to make this transition feasible. We're creating the world’s first medical grade, non-contact, fully automated vital signs scanner that can measure vital signs such as heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature in 20 seconds, without any physical contact. All the patient needs to do is sit or stand within a 3 feet radius from the device. We deploy wireless, infrared and visible light sensing to not only detect but also anticipate health issues before they occur.
We have installations across hospitals worldwide for pilot tests, and we are completing our bench tests before initiating clinical trials in October. Our goal is to ship our first certified devices in the first quarter of 2024.
Our founder, Alex Winter, is a pioneer and experienced entrepreneur in the field of computer vision and machine learning, who has started, grown and exited venture-backed startups in the field.
We are backed by top-level venture capitalists and have our headquarters in Brooklyn with offices in Paris, France.
We invite you to join us in building the future of predictive health in the ambient environment, saving lives and enhancing the duration and quality of life for people, right at their homes.
