This role is for a Senior Data Engineer – Cloud, with an accomplished development background. The main objective is to expand our AI as a Service platform to the Public Cloud while improving, optimizing our existing codebase and development approaches, and creating new solutions. We are searching for an exceptional professional with extensive knowledge in public cloud and AI/ML production systems.

The ideal candidate for this role should have the capability to learn quickly, deliver solutions within demanding deadlines in a fast-paced setting. They should possess a passion for enhancing existing solutions and making progressive improvements. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential. In addition, they should be acquainted with Agile methodologies, common scrum practices and tools.

This is a hybrid role. Hybrid employees may divide their time between remote work and the office. It is expected that employees in hybrid roles will work from the office for 2-3 predetermined days each week (as determined by leadership/site). Generally, they should be in the office 50% or more of the time, subject to business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience relevant to the role with a Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of relevant work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Profound Python experience with development background in one or more the following: Go, Rust, Java.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, preferably in an AI/ML production environment.
• Hands-on experience with model inference engines such as TensorFlow Serving, Triton, or other AI accelerators.
• Practical knowledge in Kubernetes/EKS and HashiCorp Nomad is considered a significant advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Redis and Kafka.
• Practical knowledge in Ray (on-prem, K8, AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity building large scale distributed, high performance systems in payments or other domains.
