Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated Analytics Engineer / Data Analyst to join our data team. This position is pivotal in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and deriving actionable insights through advanced data analysis and visualization.
In this role, you will:
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to support data integration and flow within the organization.
- Create new ELT-based data models using SQL and DBT.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and translate these into technical implementations.
- Develop and maintain impactful dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools such as Sigma, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Perform complex data analysis to guide business decisions and optimize processes.
- Implement data validation and testing to ensure the accuracy and quality of analytics outputs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data security and privacy compliance.
- Continuously explore and integrate new tools, technologies, and techniques to improve data efficiency and insights.
- Build advanced monitoring and alerting systems.
- Review and interpret business requirements, translating them into data models for ad-hoc reporting capabilities.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of industry experience in data engineering, BI analysis, or an analytics engineer role.
- Strong SQL and Python development skills with hands-on experience in ETL development and data warehousing, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema models.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including data libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Workato, FiveTran, Matillion, Informatica, and understanding of data integration challenges.
- Experience with data warehouse technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with database tools like DBT and SQLMesh.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools like Sigma, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize, analyze, and disseminate vast amounts of information with great attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
- Familiarity with data warehouse technologies and concepts.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Knowledge of automation platforms like Workato.
