The role:

You will be part of the Assured Autonomous Systems team, a multidisciplinary team situated in Leatherhead, Bristol, Burton, Gloucester, Warrington, and Glasgow. The team comprises a diverse mix of expertise, including:

  • AI/ML
  • Data Science
  • Control
  • Mechanical and Product Design
  • Robotics
  • Safety
  • Software

Applying your enthusiasm, skills, and knowledge, you will help us develop, construct, and test our autonomy technology stack. On any given day, you will participate in planning for future development sprints, researching approaches, developing technology, testing our stack, integrating your work into the broader system, or showcasing advances to the team and stakeholders. Our projects will give you the opportunity to see your technology developed and utilized in the real world, engaging in trials and experimentation, and appreciating the satisfaction it can bring.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who can become:

● A team player: working in autonomous systems requires a diverse mix of skills, and working closely with colleagues is essential. This cooperation enables you to build your understanding, acquire, and confidently share information with the team and stakeholders.

● A self-starter: with the capability and desire to take initiative with the tasks in front of you and deliver them to the team, project, or client to create an impact. We value individuals who can adapt to new situations, environments, and information due to the ever-changing nature of our work and the field of autonomous systems.

● A communicator: with the skill to discuss and convey projects and outcomes with internal stakeholders and clients, whether they are in a technical or non-technical role.

● An evaluator: with the ability to evaluate information by understanding the context and risk to make logical, informed decisions. Creating original and creative ideas through exploration and abstract thinking.

● A creator: with the interest in seeking out new information and techniques to explore better designs and solutions.

You will also be expected to attain at least a 2:1 in your bachelor's or master's degree. While not exclusive for this role, your degree could be in one of the following fields: AI/ML, data science, control, mechanical and product design, robotics, simulation, or software.

Due to the nature of the work undertaken at Frazer-Nash Consultancy, candidates will need to undergo pre-employment screening and meet the clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
